To prevent a tree from obstructing or damaging buildings and or property.

To enable the retention of large trees in important settings.

To prevent trees from interfering with overhead lines.

To downsize a mature trees crown in the intent of lengthening the trees lifespan.

To reduce a trees crown to a manageable size.

To increase sunlight into shaded areas.

To make large trees feel less dominating on small gardens.
